PURPOSE:To prevent the end of the shaft of a rotor from overheating by providing an end overheat preventing pole attached with an exciting winding at the end of the shaft of the rotor in addition to the field pole to control the composite magnetic flux at the end, thereby reducing the temperature rise in the phase advancing operation. CONSTITUTION:A pole 5 except a field pole 1 wound with a field winding 2 is formed at the end of the shaft 4 of a revolving field type rotor, and an exciting winding 6 is wound. An exciter for controlling the exciting current of the winding 6 is provided to control so that the composite magnetic flux at the end decreases. Thus, it can suppress the temperature rise at the end even at the phase advancing operation time to prevent the end from overheating. |
