PURPOSE:To improve the rigidity of opening in the upper face of pad, in an instrument panel assembly, by arranging a rigid net such as metal mesh over the opening. CONSTITUTION:The instrument panel assembly is constructed with a panel body 1, pad 2, a defroster 5 and an insert plate 6 where a rigid net 11 is welded to the opening 10 of insert plate 6 inserted into the pad 2. A mesa type section 6a is inflated around the openings 3, 4 of the insert plate 6 and the net 11 is arranged at said section 6a. |
