The radiotelephone network covers a district divided into cells, in which mobile radiotelephones are located. Each cell has a fixed radio station, and a plurality of fixed radio stations are connected to a common mobile switching centre. To avoid overloading a cell (FZ1), the mobile switching centre (FV1) constantly traces the number of mobile radiotelephones (M1, M2) located in each cell (FZ1, FZ2). If the mobile switching centre determines that the maximum permissible number of mobile radiotelephones is exceeded in a cell, it assigns to the mobile radiotelephones exceeding this number one or more other cells (FZ5, FZ8) or fixed radio stations (B5, B8). <IMAGE> |
