PURPOSE:To release a preheating mode without a specific operation and to improve the handling of a copying machine by forming a control means for releasing the preheating mode and setting a control means for releasing the preheating mode and setting a waiting mode when a detecting signal is outputted from a platen opening/closing detecting means at the selection of the preheating mode. CONSTITUTION:When a routine is executed and any one of keys on an operation display part is depressed at the time of the preheating mode, a control part of the machine body releases the preheating mode. Namely, if the platen PB is opened, an original to be copied is set on a contact glass 101 and then the platen PB is closed to execute copying when the copying machine 100 is not used and waited at the preheating mode, the preheating mode is automatically released. When the original is extracted from the contact glass 101 after the end of copying, the platen PB is opened/closed at a mode other than the preheating mode. If the result of decision 21 is YES and the result of decision 22 is NO, the control part inhibits left original alarming buzzer processing for alarming the unremoval of the original from the contact glass 101 after the end of copying. |
