PURPOSE:To permit precision positioning by feeding a paper after driving a motor so much as to be equal to a backlash to be absorbed. CONSTITUTION:The rotation angle of a platen roller 2 is detected by a rotary encoder 6, and Z signal per each rotation and A signal per each line of sub- scanning direction are respectively put out. A paper 3 is set at a position A which is less than one rotation short of the rotary encoder from the starting position 0, and a DC motor 5 is driven in accordance with a record starting signal. At this time the DC motor 5 races as much as a backlash of a reduction gear 4, and thus the backlash is absorbed, and feeding of the recording paper 3 is started, and the recording starts with the kick-off of Z and A signals. The record timing is synchronized with the kick-off of the A signal, and it is completed after recording of all lines. The DC motor continues to run to B which is as much behind the backlash as the point where the Z signal appears. In a reversed rotation, the paper feeding is carried out in the reversed sequence of the normal rotation. |
