The invention relates to a rack for a cylindrical bale of fodder, for feeding animals under shelter or outdoors. The rack comprises a tubular framework A in which are articulated two bent half-racks B and B'; the latter support the bale on its cylinder and, as it is eaten, they close up around it, always keeping it in the axis of the rack. The position of the articulations is such that the pressure of the small bars on the bale, in the feeding zone, is low so that the fodder can be taken and constant so as to avoid waste. <IMAGE>
