A process is disclosed for selectively removing hydrogen sulphide from gaseous mixtures also containing carbon dioxide, essentially comprising an absorption in a column by means of a mixture of a tertiary amine and an organic solvent with a water concentration not greater than 25% by weight, and a regeneration in a column for the distillation of the exhausted absorbent mixture, characterized in that said exhausted mixture before being regenerated in the distillation column undergoes a partial regeneration in one or more steps, the separation being obtained of a gas having a CO2/H2S ratio greater than that of the exhausted mixture leaving the absorption column.

|
