<p>The invention relates to a corner assembly device for joining a pillar 2 and a portal structure 1 cross-member 3. The problem to be resolved consists in facilitating the implementation of the portal structure without increasing its bulk. The assembly device is characterised in that it comprises an attached part 16 in the form of a casing fixed at the end into the pillar 2 and an attached piece 17 in the form of a casing introduced into the cross-member 3, these pieces being placed opposite one another and secured together by fastening means with interposition of one wall 6 of the cross-member 3.
