The invention relates to a print head for a multi-colour ink jet printer. The aim of the invention is to provide a print head for multi-colour ink jet printing which can be produced cost-effectively and guarantees a clear printed image, the object consisting in keeping the dimensions of the print head relatively small by means of a favourable construction thereof. This is achieved by a division of the ink chambers in each case into two identical fluid chambers, by providing a central web which separates the ink colours from one another so that it is possible using a piezo element to apply rhythmic interferences for a synchronous droplet formation simultaneously to two completely separate ink jets. <IMAGE>
