PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture tube having a neck getter which does not show convergence error during high speed deflection by attaching a getter ring and electron gun so that these form electrically closed loop. CONSTITUTION:Three electron beams R, G, B emitted from an electron gun 7 pass a convergence electrode 8, a getter support 9 and a getter ring 10, are deflected by a deflection yoke 11 and scan a phosphor screen 5 through a shadow mask. The getter ring 10 is supported through welding by only one metal getter support 9 welded to a convergence electrode 8, not forming an electrically closed circuit between the getter ring 10 and convergence electrode 8. Since an induction current does not flow by deflection magnetic field, an additional magnetic field is not generated and convergence error is also not generated. |
