PURPOSE:To provide a rolling mill for a shape steel permitting the easy change of a roll width by providing sleeve rolls, sleeve roll movers consisting of hydraulic units, connecting arms, etc. and sleeve roll fixing device consisting of hydraulic blocks, connecting rings, etc. thereto. CONSTITUTION:The hydraulic pipes 48A, 48B of the hydralulic block 36 and the hydraulic pipe 32B of the hydraulic unit 28 are opended to increase the width between the sleeve rolls 4. An oil pressure is then applied to the hydraulic pipe 32A to move the rolls 4 to the set position, thereby increasing the width. The oil pressure is then applied to the pipe 48A to lock the pipes 48, 48B, 32B. The hydraulic pipes 48A, 48B of the block 36 and the hydraulic pipe 32A are opened to decrease the width between the rolls 4. The oil pressure is applied to the pipe 32B to move the rolls 4 up to the set position, thereby decreasing the width. The oil pressure is then applied to the pipe 48A to lock the pipes 48A, 48B, 32A. As a result, the rolling load is securely supported without the hindrance by moment during the rolling and the stable operation is executed. |
