A box having a pair of short double walls and a pair of long double walls with a length ratio of the walls of 3:4. The short walls are thinner than the long walls, but are widened towards the inside to the width of the long walls at several points along the upper edge. Together with a long wall or together with the widening of a short wall, these widenings can be received by recesses located on the underside of an identically constructed box, which recesses have the same width throughout. In this manner, the boxes can be stacked non-displaceably in a combined unit. <IMAGE>
