PURPOSE:To form an electrophotographic sensitive body high in flexibility capable of satisfying all of various requirements in electrophotographic processes by using a disazo pigment having a bis(styryl)stilbene structure different from conventional azo pigments as the effective component of a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body has a photosensitive layer contg. a disazo pigment represented by formula I having a bis(styryl) stilbene structure as an effective component. Since this photosensitive body is of an organic type, it is naturally rich in flexibility, and the use of such a pigment permits all of the various requirements in the electrophotographic processes to be satisfied and the obtained photosensitive body to be characterized by high photosensitivity as compared with the ordinary type using conventional monoazo or disazo pigments. |
