<p>PURPOSE:To increase the rate of desulfurization, by burning combustion exhaust gas again, after adding nonorganic chloride or organic chlorine compound as a reaction accelerator, together with a desulfurizing agent, to a combustion exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:The secondary burner 4 is ignited, and combustion is started in pulverized coal being fed into the primary combustion chamber 2 passing through a main feed pipe 5. A desulfurizing agent and a reaction accelerator are fed into the primary combustion chamber 2 passing through the main pipe 5, desulfurizing combustion exhaust gas in the reducing atmosphere to produce sulfide. Then the primary combustion exhaust gas fed into the secondary combustion chamber 3 from the primary combustion chamber 2 is cooled down to the comparatively low temperature, then the tertiary air is fed from the tertiary air feed pipe 7, burning the primary combustion exhaust gas completely, at the temperature of 1,000-1,200 deg.C, to turn the sulfide into harmless sulfate. As for a reaction accelerator, nonorganic chlorides such as HCl gas, magnesium chloride, and ferric chloride, or organic chlorine compounds such as vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride are to be used.</p> |
