The seal between the lid (2) of the housing of a camera for sub-aqua diving and the body (1) of this housing is provided by a vulcanised lining (8) covering the edge of the lid, and which, during fitting of the latter, is interposed between it and the body (1). This gasket (8) is made in a single piece with annular parts (8b, 8d, 8e, 8f) surrounding openings (7, 4, 5 and 6) made in the lid. The connection between these annular parts and the main part of the gasket (8) is provided by extensions or branchings (8a, 8c) of the lining produced in grooves made in the internal face of the lid (2). Thus, the seal is of a single piece, which avoids the risk of losing parts of it and facilitates the fitting of the lid (2) on the body (1) of the housing. The gasket (8) is obtained in situ by hot vulcanisation. <IMAGE>
