During processing of data transmitted by terminals capable of communicating between each other, such as telefax receivers or integrated text-graphic terminals, documents containing data are openly treated during their transmission and/or at least their reception. The danger exists that unauthorized persons may study documents during their processing, appropriate the documents or make copy of them, both during transmission and reception. The same danger remains after printing said documents when the latter cannot be taken in charge directly by the sendee imediatly after having been processed. Third persons may have access thereto, for example during the packaging or preparation for the distribution by post, when public services are used and the documents have to be openly processed. In order to ensure the respect of the postal secret and the preservation of the integrity of information and documents both at the transmission and reception thereof, these are processed in a closed arrangement protected and safe against abusive divulgation and access; only the sendee may withdraw a document therefrom or said document is delivered in a sealed envelope. |
