This invention is a connection device to connect a vacuum hose to a central vacuum system's tube network. In order to always ensure sufficient air speed in the tube network regardless of the diameter of the hose (14) used, the connection device of this invention features an aid for allowing an air mass into the tube network which is dependent on the diameter of the hose (14) in use to maintain the air speed of the air streaming through the hose network within the desired range regardless of the vacuum hose's diameter. Said aid features a suction drum, which houses lids (2, 3) with different size connection openings for vacuum hoses, whereby the aid (9, 10) is formed in the lid for letting in air masses into the network dependent on the size of the connection opening.<IMAGE> |
