The cylinder stop latch (14), which engages by the force of a latching spring (15) in indexing latches (11) on the revolver cylinder (9) and in consequence blocks the cylinder (9), is temporarily pivoted against the force of the latching spring (15) until the cylinder (9) is released, when the hammer (3) is cocked by means of a trigger bolt (16). The cylinder stop latch (14) is supported inside the trigger (2), by means of an elongated hole (17), on a shaft bolt (18) which forms the pivoting axis for the trigger (2), and has a triggering cam (19) which stops against the trigger bolt (16), the trigger bolt (16) and the triggering cam (19) running on one another in a triggering surface (30.1, 30.2) which has a break-off edge (23), via which triggering surface the trigger bolt (16) rotates the cylinder stop latch (14) about the shaft bolt (18) during the cocking movement of the hammer (3) so far, and/or displaces so far in the direction of the elongated hole (17) during the firing movement, that the triggering cam (19) in each case slides off in the break-off edge of the trigger bolt (16) and the latter passes the triggering cam (19).
