PURPOSE:To perpetuate the brightness of a resin by honing the part other than the boundary region in the vicinity of the surface of a resin injection part provided to a metallic base material of a watchcase, then adding a resin mixed with metallic particles into the resin injection part, and coating a transparent resinous layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:A resin injection part 2 is provided to a metallic base material 1 of a watchcase, and the part other than a boundary region in the vicinity of the surface of the resin injection part is honed. A resin 5 (e.g., epoxy resin) mixed with particles 4 of metal such as Al is then added into the resin injection part 2 and air-dried, and then a transparent resinous layer 6 of epoxy resin, etc., is coated thereon, air-dried, heated, cured, and finally polished. Namely, the metallic particles are not eluted by a plating sol. from the surface of the resin, and hence the brightness of the resin remains permanently. Moreover, since the boundary region between the base material surface and the resin is smooth and without any clearances, the resin is firmly adhered, the intrusion of sweat, etc., is prevented, and a permanent decorative effect can be obtained. |
