PURPOSE:To extend the temp. range of catalytic activity to 400 deg.C and to improve the activity of the catalyst by forming the title catalyst body with a substance consisting of a mixed component system of a perovskite-type composite oxide and a compd. expressed by the specified chemical formula. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst body for purifying exhaust gas is formed with a substance consisting of a mixed 2-component system of an oxide expressed by formula I (where, Me shows Fe, Mn, Cr, and V, and 0<x<1) and a compd. shown by formula II (where, A shows Ca and Sr, B expresses Ti, Zr, and Hf, and 0<y<1). The catalyst body is deposited by hydrogen flame spraying on the surface of a carrier in uniform thickness. Such a catalyst body increases remarkably the oxygen ion conduction amt., and hence the catalytic action can be effectively amplified. |
