PURPOSE:To guarantee proper flaw detecting scanning by setting up also a returning point for scanning in addition to the starting point of the scanning of an ultrasonic flaw detection scanner. CONSTITUTION:When a probe is set up to a required returning point position and an original point restoration switch 38 is depressed, an original point restoration signal is applied to a CPU10, the CPU10 turns on an X-scanning direction indicating lamp (negative) in response to said signal, an X motor 30 is rotated in a counterclockwise direction by a distance specified by an X-scanning distance determining switch 28 and the probe reaches the original point (01). Then, an original point determining switch 22 is depressed to fix the point 01 as the original point and then a scanning start switch 20 is depressed to start the scanning. |
