PURPOSE:To smooth the surface of an image forming material and to enhance water resistance, oil repellency, and durability by forming a resin layer contg. a fluorine type or silicon type graft polymer on the surface of the image forming material. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body is classified into two main groups; the one having single photosensitive layer 2 contg. both of a photoconductive material and a carrier transfer material formed on a conductive substrate 1, and the other having a laminate consisting of a separate photoconductive layer 4 and a separate carrier transfer layer 3. The F-type or Si-type graft polymer can be used for both types, but it must be added at least to the surface layer. When the graft polymer is used in a state of solvent solution, care must be paid for the carrier transfer material not to be eluted. Therefore, it is preferable to directly incorporate it in the photosensitive layer 2 or carrier transfer layer 3, thus permitting the surface of the image forming material to be smoothed and water resistance, oil repellency, and durability to be enhanced. |
