ELECTRODE FOR USE IN ELECTROLYTIC CELL

Electrode for a filter press type electrolytic cell comprises parallel vertical elongate members(9) on each side of a planar support(1) with each member attached at its end to the support such that a substantial part of each is in a plane parallel to and spaced from the support. The electrode is pref. flexible and the member faces are 2 - 10 wide. The members are pref. strips with those on one side opposite to a space between two strips on the other side. The strip transverse faces are pref. curved, that facing away from the support being convex. The support is pref. a planar frame with the strips attached at opposite sides.
