The jumbled components are placed in a heap on a sorting plate (1) hich is mounted on a pneumatic vibrator oscillating the plate (1) vertically os the individual components aresepd. from each other and fall over the edge of plate (1) e.g. onto a conveyor. The upper surface of palte 1) is pref. fitted vertical pegs which prevent the jumbled heap from travelling across the plate as a single mass.
