PURPOSE:To enhance workability, photohardenability, and various physical properties by incorporating a photopolymerizable unsatd. monomer and a photopolymn. initiator in a compsn. consisting of a conjugated diene compd., an ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid, and a multifunctional vinyl compd. each in a specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The resin compsn. contains a copolymer of (A) the conjugated diene compd., (B) the alpha,beta-ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid, and (C) the polyfunctional vinyl compd. as essential components, and further, (D) a monoolefinic unsatd. compd. each in a proportion of A/B/C/D=(10-80)/(5-60)/(0.1-20)/(0-80) by the molar basis, and the photopolymerizable unsatd. monomer and the photopolymn. iniator. Such a copolymer is insolubilized in a solvent by the 3-dimensional cross-linking of the residual double bonds due to the compd. (A) by the actinic rays, such as UV rays, and the addition of the photopolymerizable monomer accelerates the cross-linking reaction, thus permitting the mechanical strength, water and solvent resistance, rubber-like elasticity, transparency, alkali-developability, etc. of the obtained printing plate to be enhanced, and said compsn. to be widely used for a flexographic printing plate and others. |
