PURPOSE:To provide a practically high tabulating function and excellent operability for an electronic typewriter as well as to permit the frame of table and letters to be freely written alternately by using a system in which when entering a tabulating mode by an operating switch, letters input from the keyboard and vertical lines of one line width are alternately written. CONSTITUTION:When letters are input from a keyboard 2, the contents are displayed is succession by a set 21. When the push pressure of the first operating switch 4 is detected by a step 15, a pen is operated by as much as space by adding 2 to the letter number input by a step 22, and the tabulator is set up at the point by a step 23. The reason of adding 2 to the letter number input is that at least one space is taken on both sides of the content to be printed. After operations are made several times according to the tabulation, when a return key 2d is pushed finally, traverse lines are written on the table by the pen and the pen is returned to the position where the first operating switch 4 is pushed. The processing is advanced to the step 17 from the step 16, and tabulator is set up at the position where the vertical lines of the table are drawn. |
