PURPOSE:To provide possibility of processing various type of works for an NC machine tool designed to process as-cast surfaces of a work, by locating each work prelocated roughly to the correct position through movement of a column. CONSTITUTION:Each work 3 fed onto an indexing table 3 from a transport line 1 is prelocated roughly in a position nearer to the machine tool from the specified position. A column 10 is slided to the left by a motor 7 to allow a stopper 13 to push the side of the work W, and the work W thus located in the specified position is clamped 14. Then a spindle 11 is rotated according to the command of NC device, and processing is carried out by a tool 12 while the column 1 is moved. After completion of processing, the motor 7 is reversed to return the column 1 to the point of origin, and the new processing surface is indexed to be followed by a repetitive procedure including rough and precision location. This constitution permits processing of a diversity of works. |
