PURPOSE:To make a fine tube and a fine pore hard to generate clogging even if a salt-containing buffer solution is used as the carrier of a liquid chromatograph, by providing a washing mechanism to the salt precipitation area in the apparatus for connecting the mass analyser of the liquid chromatograph. CONSTITUTION:When a salt-containing buffer solution is used as the carrier of a liquid chromatrograph 1, the output from the liquid chromatograph 1 passes through a valve 4 and an interface 5 to be guided to a mass analyser 20 during usual measurement. When measurement is completed, a controller 21 changes over the three-way cock of a time valve 4 necessary for washing fine bore 6 so as to communicate a pump 3 and the fine bore 6 and operates the pump 3. By this mechanism, the salt solvent solution from a solution sump 2 is introduced into the fine bore 6 through the pump 3 and the valve 4 and the evaporated solvent is guided to the mass analyser 20 through a jet orifice 9 while dissolves the salt precipitated and adhered to the fine bore 6 and discharged from an excessive gas vent port 15. |
