PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage between an electrically floating conductive member and the other conductive member in proximity thereto by conducting the electrically floating conductive member to a developer to avert the electrostatic charge by the contact of the conductive member with the developer. CONSTITUTION:A developer guide plate 22 is gradually electrostatically charged until finally leakage arises between said plate and a nearby conductive member, for example, a developer shifting fin 18 when the developer which circulates in the 2nd route shown by a chain line or the 3rd route shown by a broken line and is electrostatically charged contacts repeatedly with said guide plate. Since such leakage affects adversely a control signal, the leakage needs be averted. A connecting plate 24 for connecting the cross mixing guide plate 22 and the developer 5c is provided on the lower side of the plate 22. The plate 24 is made of the conductive member and therefore the developer 5c and the plate 24 are maintained always at the same potential. The electrostatic charge of the plate 22 by the contact with the developer 5c is thus averted and the leakage is prevented as well. |
