PURPOSE:To prevent an engine stop before its occurrence, by controlling the ignition timing to be delayed within a start control region when a clutch is operated, in the case of a control system which controls the ignition timing to be advanced when an engine is in idling operation and an accelerator is depressed. CONSTITUTION:If a start control unit 7, when an engine is in operation, decides an output of a throttle position sensor 3 in a condition excepting a full close condition, low switch 5 of a transmission in an on-condition and a clutch switch 4 in an on-condition, an ignition timing control unit 6 decides whether or not the ignition timing is in a start control region from an output of a speed sensor 2 and a boost sensor 1. And if the decision is YES, a control signal, delaying the ignition timing, for instance, to 0 deg.-10 deg. before top dead center (BTDC), is output to an ignition system 9. While a device, operating an actuator of a first idle control device 8, prevents the generation of an engine stop before its occurrence by ensuring a start output. |
