The top edge retention system is for use on a swinging and tilting wing of a window or door, with at least one extension arm. This has a guideway mounted in or on the top wide shank, at one end, and is connected to the fixed frame at the other end, while it has a closing piece near its swivel axis, extending into the rebate space or into an intervening recess. The closing piece is detachably mounted on the extension arm where it may be screwable and fitted with a distortion prevention device. This can be a flange on the closing piece bearing face, fitting against a narrow side of the extension arm. The closing piece may be adjustable along the arm longitudinal axis. |
