METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SUCTION CASTING

PURPOSE:To execute suction casting with high reliability and ease of a post- treatment by inserting a sprue part of an air permeable casting mold inserted to a tray into the aperture part of a hermetic chamber via a heat resistant sealing member and reducing the pressure in the hermetic chamber thereby sucking the molten metal in a melting furnace up into the casting mold. CONSTITUTION:The sprue part 9 of the air permeable casting mold 7 inserted to the tray 11 is inserted and fixed to the aperture 6 of the hermetic chamber 1 via the heat resistance sealing member 13 by a transfer means 16. The pressure in the chamber 1 is reduced 6 to suck and cast the molten metal 15 in the melting furnace 14 into the mold 7 through the sprue 9. The mold 7 is conveyed and installed by the tray 11, by which the failure of the mold 7 is prevented and the installation thereof in the chamber 1 is made safe and sure. The limitation for casting material quality according to the range of the service temp. is eliminated by the heat resistant seal 13. The operation for removing the casting is thus made easy and the time for cooling is eliminated.
