PURPOSE:To provide an immersion nozzle for continuous casting by providing a hollow part extending in peripheral and longitudinal directions to the upper part in a nozzle side wall, distributing gas leading-out holes communicating with the nozzle inside from the hollow part and providing further a gas supply hole arriving at the hollow part to the side wall. CONSTITUTION:The immersion nozzle 1 for continuous casting is formed by packing a raw material alumina graphite base and zirconia graphite base into a mold for molding. The hollow part 3 and gas leading-out holes 4 are provided to the side wall 2 of the nozzle in the longitudinal direction from the socket of the upper part so as to communicate with the nozzle 1 inside. The gas supply hole 5 for the hollow part 3 is further provided to the side wall 2. The generation of a negative pressure part in the nozzle in the stage of casting is thus eliminated and the intrusion of air into the nozzle is prevented. |
