<p>There is disclosed a compound of the following general formula (I) <CHEM> its diastereomers of mixtures thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof; wherein R1 is a radical of the formula <CHEM> in which Y is O, S, SO, or SO2; X and X min are each, independently, hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, hydroxy, lower alkanoyl, nitro, amino, trifluoromethyl, halogen, or, when taken together, the radical -0-CH2-0-; A and B are each, independently, hydrogen or lower alkyl; and A min and B min are each, independently, hydrogen, lower alkyl or hydroxyl; R2 is (a) hydrogen, (b) halogen (c)-NR<i>R<ii> in which R<i> and R<ii> are independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, phenyl or phenyl substituted by lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen or trifluoromethyl, (d)-SR in which R is hydrogen, lower alkyl, or phenyl; and R2 min , R3 min , and R5 min are each, independently, hydrogen, lower alkanoyl, benzoyl, or benzoyl substituted by lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen, or trifluoromethyl, or R2, and R3 min , when taken together, may be lower alkylidene; The compounds have having highly desirable central nervous system antiinflammatory and antihypertensive properties.</p> |
