PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having excellent live storability and high thermal coloring property by including a compound capable of lowering the glass transition point of a micro capsulating material in micro capsules. CONSTITUTION:As a glass transition regulator for a micro capsulating material, such compounds as hydroxy compounds, carbamate comopounds, sulfoneamide compounds, aromatic methoxy compounds, etc., which are capable of lowering the glass transition point to 80-150 deg.C preferably. Among these compounds, the hydroxy comopunds are most recommendable and the amount of the regulator to be added to the inside of capsule and/or capsulating material is 0.04-0.08pts.wt.-0.01-0.20pts.wt. per one pt.wt. capsulating material. The use of a micro capsulating method using polymerization of reactants from the inside of oil droplets is preferable. Capsules having uniform grain sizes and excellent storability which are suitable for recording materials can thus be obtained in a short time. |
