PURPOSE:To make an automatic traveling vehicle performing correctly spin turn and to secure the safeness of the traveling vehicle by forming a means for detecting a guide line in a spin turn direction to execute the spin turn operation only when a spin turn point is detected. CONSTITUTION:An optical sensor 9 for detecting an optical guide tape 4 is formed in the automatic traveling vehicle 8'. When it is supposed that the car 8' is set up so as to spin-turn in the arrow direction 7 at the reading of an address plate 2, the tape 4 is read out by the sensor 9 when the vehicle 8' is stopped on the position where the address plate 2 is read out to detect the stop of the car 8' on the spin turn point and to make the car 8' execute spin turn. Namely, the spin turn operation is executed only when the car 8' reaches the relative address for the execution of spin turn and the position enables the car 8' to execute spin turn. Consequently, the spin turn operation can be inhibited on a position other than the spin turn point. |
