PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body good in acceptance and retentivity of electrostatic charge in the dark and high in sensitivity and superior in durability and the like by incorporating in a photosensitive layer a polymer contg. a polymer type hydrazone compd. as a photoconductor. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body is prepared by incorporating in a photosensitive layer as a carrier transfer material a hydrazone polymer contg. one or more kinds of monomer units each represented by the formula in which X is H, halogen, alkoxy, or alkyl; R, R' are each alkyl, methallyl, optionally substd. phenyl, or benzyl; and R'' is optionally substd. phenylpyridyl, naphthyl, and the substituent is alkyl, alkyloxy, halogen, or the like. The photosensitive layer may contain a chemical sensitizer or an electron acceptor, when needed. As a result, the obtained photosensitive body is high in sensitivity, and superior in durability, resistances to heat and humidity, mechanical strength, etc., and suitable for preparing a raw printing plate and the like. |
