<p>1,264,657. 4-Methoxy-2,6-diamino triazines. AGRIPAT S.A. 19 March, 1969 [20 March, 1968], No. 14330/69. Heading C2C. 4 - Methoxy - 2,6 - diamino - s - triazines of the general formula wherein R 1 is methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, cyclopropyl, 1-methyl-cyclopropyl, see.-butyl, tert.- butyl, isobutyl, #-methoxy-ethyl,γ-methoxy-npropyl, 1 - cyanoethyl - (1)-, 1 - cyanoprop-(1)- yl-, 2 - cyanoprop - (2) - yl, 2 - cyanobut-(2)-yl or 3-cyanopent-(3)-yl and n is 0 or 1 are prepared by reacting a 2-chloro-s-triazine of the general formula with an alkali metal methylate. In place of the methylate an alkali hydroxide and methanol may be employed. Amongst the examples the novel compounds 2-ethylamino-6-cyclopropylamino - 4 - methoxy - s - triazine, 2,6 - bis-cyclopropylamino - 4 - methoxy - s - triazine, 2-(γ- methoxy - propylamino) - 6 - cyolopropylamino- 4 - methoxy - s - triazine and 2 - [2<SP>1</SP> - cyanoprop- (2<SP>1</SP>) - ylamino] - 6 - (2<SP>11</SP> - methylcyclopropylamino) s -triazine are prepared. Herbicidal compositions contain as active ingredient a compound of general Formula I together with carriers and/or dispersing agents. In the examples a granulate, a wettable powder, a paste and an emulsion concentrate are prepared.</p> |
