PURPOSE:To prevent the drop of the intended seat belt performance due to excessive slackening by controlling the slackening of a seat belt depending upon the running condition of a car. CONSTITUTION:A take-up axis 2 is given a turning force by a spring 4 in a direction of taking up a seat belt 5. Also, the axis is fitted with a ratchet gearing 6b, which gears with an emergency lock 6a actuated by a sensor 27 to detect the acceleration of a car body. A primary rotating angle sensor 16 detects the passage of a slit on a slit wheel 15 and detects the rotating angle of the foregoing take-up axis 2. A secondary rotating angle sensor 28 detects the rotating angle of that axis 2 driven by a motor 25. A high speed pulse generator 36 gives pulses depending upon a car speed and a negative acceleration detector 35 detects negative acceleration, which pulses and acceleration are inputted in a control device 30. |
