摘要 <p>OPTICAL CONNECTOR SYSTEM A measuring apparatus utilizing an optical connector of the type that light-receiving and lighttransmitting fibers or fiber bundles are combined together having an optical connector. The connector comprises a male and a female housing which is fitted to one end of a fiber bundle including therein a light-receiving fiber bundle and a light-transmitting fiber bundle, and which holds the light-receiving fiber bundle and the light-transmitting fiber bundle in such a manner that the end surface of the lightreceiving fiber bundle and the end surface of the light-transmitting fiber bundle are coupled to each other simultaneously when the housings are joined. The connector may be an intermediate coupling between bundles or couple bundles to a main body section. The female housing may be equipped with a light-trans-mitting window and a light-receiving window, the light-transmitting and light-receiving windows being designed so that, when the male or female housing comes into engagement with the opposite male or female housing, the light-transmitting window faces the end surface of the light-transmitting fiber bundle, and continued... the light-receiving window faces the end surface of the light-receiving fiber bundle. A main body comprises a light source portion including a lightconcentrating optical system which, when the male housing is fitted, and the male housing comes into engagement with the female housing, concentrates light on the end surface of the light-transmitting fiber or fiber bundle. A measuring portion includes an imagefocusing optical system which focuses the image on the end surface of the light-receiving fiber bundle on a slit.</p>
