In the sampling of milk by removing a part stream for testing from a milk pipeline connected to a transport device via a Pitot nozzle and a small pipe to a sample vessel, the pre-selected opening of the Pitot nozzle is blocked on switching on the transport device e.g. a collection pump or vacuum plant. More esp. the Pitot nozzle is opened completely when the pump is altered. Prevents the setting of the Pitot nozzle being altered during sampling so that the sample is no longer representative of the total quanity of milk being sampled. In addition the full cross section of the Pitot tube is always available because of the intermittent full opening of the nozzle which ensures cleaning of this and of th sample pipe. |
