<p>PURPOSE:To minimize a time interval of the data for calculation and to calculate a precise correlation quantity by using respectively the data separated for a half period of a subcarrier wave in the horizontal direction and for one horizontal period in the vertical direction and calculating a correlation quantity. CONSTITUTION:Chrominance components vertical correlation value arithmetic parts 11-38, luminance signal vertical correlation value arithmetic parts 24-39, chrominance components horizontal correlation value arithmetic parts 13-37 and luminance signal horizontal correlation value arithmetic parts 31-40 are provided. The average value of the sample value separated for a half period of the subcarrier wave of a composite video signal which is sampled at the frequency of the even number of times of the subcarrier wave synchronized with the burst signal, is calculated, a vertical correlation value of the luminance signal is obtained by using two values separated for one period of the average value, and a horizontal correlation value of a luminance signal is obtained by using two sample values separated for a half period of the subcarrier wave of the average value is obtained. Further, the difference between two samples are calculated and a vertical correlation value and a horizontal correlation value of the chrominance components are calculated.</p> |
