PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of the filter surface of a gas detecting element by covering the gas detecting element in a casing with the filter which shuts off the penetration of gaseous impurities and providing a partition having plural holes in the flow passage between the gas introducing port of the casing and the gas detecting element. CONSTITUTION:The gas detecting element 3 in the casing 1 is covered by the filter 4 which shuts off the penetration of the gaseous impurities. The partition 6 consisting of the plate body 8 provided with plural slit holes 7 is disposed in the flow passage 5 between the gas introducing hole 2 and the element 3. The oil and dust flowing through the hole 2 together with the gas into the casing sticks to the partition 6 and the inflow thereof is prevented. The contamination of the filter 4 is thus prevented. |
