PURPOSE:To maintain stable developability by interlocking a vibration diaphragm and toner sensor and stopping and operation of the vibration diaphragm when a specified amt. of a toner is detected by the sensor. CONSTITUTION:The one-component magnetic toner 5 is supplied from the upper part of a hopper 2 and falls onto the lower hopper when the vibration diaphragm 10 operates. Whether the prescribed toner amt. is attained or not is detected by the toner empty sensor 15. The operation of the diaphragm 10 is stopped when the prescribed amt. is attained. The diaphragm 10 has the effect of a cap to prevent the dropping of the upper toner to the lower part. A magnetized magnetic belt 11 is actuated by the operation of a driving roll 12 by which the toner is conveyed. The desired toner layer is formed by a doctor blade 13. The toner on the belt is scraped by an electrode plate 14 and the toner falls along the electrode plate. The development by the falling toner is made possible when a drum 1 which faces the electrode plate and on which an electrostatic latent image is formed passes along the electrode plate. |
