PURPOSE:To improve the dispersibility of a toner, to maintain blackness, and to control the amt. of electrostatic charge by incorporating a conventional carbon black and an electrically conductive carbon black. CONSTITUTION:The conductive carbon black is larger in a surface area, iodine adsorption amt. and oil adsorption amt. then a conventional carbon black. Both blacks are added to a carrier resin, such as a styrene-acrylate copolymer to obtain the toner. The use of these combination permits the control of charge amt. and blackness to be improved as compared with the case of using a single carbon black. |
