PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease of yield due to the disposal of a photodetector, and to reduce reflected beams by forming a film having convex lens structure to the surface of a light-receiving section. CONSTITUTION:Lens films 7 are formed in such a manner that a resin transparent to incident beams is applied in thickness thicker than electrodes 3 and 4 among the electrodes 3 and 4 through patterning, and heated and the resin is shaped to a convex lens form. Incident beams are condensed to an active layer 2 by the lens films 7, and a reduction from the maximum value of sensitivity at a time when a bond angle theta is displaced from 90 deg. is made smaller than conventional devices in sensitivity characteristics to the bond angle theta, thus preventing the decrease of yield due to the disposal of a photodetector. Reflected beams from the lens films 7 are directed in the diverging direction, beams which directly collide with the end surface 6a of an optical fiber 6 are reduced, and incidence to the optical fiber 6 is minimized. That is, the prevention of the lowering of yield at a time when the photodetector is arranged at the end section of the optical fiber and the reduction of reflected beams projected to the optical fiber are enabled. |
