DEVICE FOR SUPPLYING MOLTEN METAL IN PRODUCTION OF AMORPHOUS METAL

PURPOSE:To make possible the fine adjustment of a supply rate of the molten metal to be injected to the surface of a cooling body under movement at a high speed by bridging an air-lift pump between a tundish and intermediate vessel and feeding the molten metal while adjusting a bubbling gas. CONSTITUTION:A device for supplying the molten metal which feeds the molten metal M accepted from a ladle 1 into the intermediate vessel 11 adjacent to the tundish 4 into the tundish 4 by the air-lift pump 21 bridged between the vessel 11 and the tundish 4 is provided to an apparatus for producing an amorphous metal by injecting the molten metal M from an injection nozzle 6 of the tundish 4 to the surface of a cooling body 8 under rotation at a high speed and cooling quickly the molten metal so solidify. The bubbling gas supplied to the pump body 22 of the pump 21 is finely adjusted by a blow port 31 provided with a porous plug 32 and a flow rate regulating valve 37 disposed to a gas supply pipe 35 connecting a compressed gas reservoir 39. The feed rate of the molten metal M to the tundish 4 is thus easily and stably adjusted.
