PURPOSE:To improve the resistance to wear by constituting a magnetic recording medium slide-contact surface side of a magnetic head, of a magnetic material whose width is set to about a track width, and also whose length in the running direction of the magnetic recording medium is set to the minimum size which does not obstruct a magnetic head characteristic factor, and a material whose resistance to wear is more excellent than said magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:On a specularly polished surface of a rectangular parallelepiped block 22 in a specularly polished surface of a unified block piece 23, a groove 25 of a depth D and a track width T is formed by an etching means of dry etching or wet etching, or a fine working technique means of a laser working means, etc. As for dimensions of this groove 25, the width is the same as a track width T, and the depth D is the minimum size which does not lower a magnetic head characteristic factor (for instance, a reproducing output), in case a magnetic recording medium slide-contacts to a magnetic material part of a magnetic head and recording and reproduction are executed, in a state that the magnetic head is constituted by packing this groove 25 with a magnetic material. For instance, this magnetic head is constituted so that this size D is about 1/2-1 wavelength of a recording wavelength in case of recording of the magnetic recording medium. |
