Azabicycloaliphatic compounds (and their acid addition salts) of formula:- Ar - C (=X) - Alk - Het (I) where Ar=a monocyclic aryl group or a monocyclic monohetercyclic group of aromatic character. X=oxygen or a free or subst. hydroxyl group together with a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon residue Alk=an alkylene residue which separates the groups -C-(=X) and Het by at least 3 carbon atoms Het=a bicycloalkyleneamino group. Compounds I show sedative-tranquillizing and anti-aggressive effects as well as adrenolytic and hypertensive effects. They are also useful as intermediates. |
