PURPOSE:To reduce crosstalk noise from each adjacent track, and to improve an S/N by providing a noise detecting circuit for detecting a level of the crosstalk noise, and controlling the device so that the larger the level of the crosstalk is, the more a reproducing information signal demodulated by frequency demodulating circuit, or the level of its high band component is reduced. CONSTITUTION:From a track which has been inclined against the running direction of a magnetic tape 12, a frequency multiple signal recorded in said track is reproduced by a rotary magnetic head 11. Its reproduced frequency multiple signal is supplied to a band pass filter 14 through a reproducing amplifying circuit 13, and a frequency modulated wave of a sound signal of a carrier wave frequency of 1.5MHz is fetched from the band pass filter 14. Next, its frequency modulated wave is supplied to an amplitude limiting circuit 15 and the amplitude is limited, the frequency modulated wave whose amplitude has been limited is supplied to a frequency demodulating circuit 16 and the sound signal is demodulated. The demodulated sound signal of the output of the frequency demodulating circuit 16 is supplied to a low pass filter 17, a reproducing sound signal is supplied to a noise reducing circuit 20, and a crosstalk noise is reduced. |
